On the morning of 27th December 2014, His Grace Panteleimon, Bishop of Congo Brazzaville and Gabon arrived in the city of Dolisie where he visited to “St Efstathios” Orthodox orphanage, spoke with the 24 children being cared for there, interpreted the theological meaning of Great Feast of the Incarnation of the Lord and gave them new clothing.

He then performed the baptisms of 6 newly-enlightened Christians of all ages, at the outdoor baptistery of the Holy Parish Church of St Irene, who received systematic catechism from the Parish Priest Fr. Paul Diafouka.

He then met and collaborated with Mr. Jean Claude Tchilimbou, Director of the “Light of the Nations” Orthodox School and conducted the Vespers at the Holy Church of St Irene. The day ended with a dinner which was kindly hosted by the Parish Council in honour of the Bishop.

On the next day, Sunday 28th December, His Grace conducted the Divine Liturgy and preached the homily at the Holy Church of St Irene. After the end of the Liturgical Gathering he presented the Parish Priest, Reverend Fr Paul Diafouka, with a set of vestments, on the occasion of the first anniversary of his ordination to the Priesthood; he gave gifts to all the children of the Parish and icons to the faithful, with whom he had the opportunity of face-to-face communication. In conclusion, Mr. Rigobert Ndalou, Chairman of the Parish Council expressed the gratitude of the faithful and hosted a festal lunch at his home.
