On 1st January 2017, His Grace Panteleimon, Bishop of Congo-Brazzaville and Gabon, attended the Divine Liturgy which took place at the Holy Parish Church of St Fotini in Mpaka, Pointe-Noire – due to a brief illness.

He also preached the homily, speaking of the “circumcision not done by hands” of human passions and weaknesses according to the Apostolic reading, and once again congratulated the Church Council for the progress underway in the construction work of the the church.

In his reply, the very active Chairman of the Council, Mr. Michel Armand Massa, a member of the Diocesan Council, expressed the joy and gratitude of the faithful for the love and total interest of the Bishop for them as well as for the general progress of the local Church.  

His Grace donated clothing to the little children and gave out the Holy Diocese’s pocket diary for 2017 to the congregation.
